This Central Beach property began with a Tuscan-style home and an open yard with no existing landscape. In collaboration with DIGG Gardens, the landscaping was thoughtfully designed by Spencer Porteous to give the home a more established setting. Italian cypress and Japanese blueberry trees were introduced along the front of the house, with minima jasmine filling in the planting beds.

Eventide Lighting Company designed the lighting to complement the new landscape and bring the property to life after dark. Solid brass path lights line the front of the home, while brass uplights highlight the trees and planting areas. A large oak in the front lawn and another oak in the side yard, whose form almost resembles a weeping willow, are gently illuminated and give the property a warm presence at night. The lighting ties the landscape and architecture together, creating a soft glow that the homeowner especially enjoys.
